At Woody’s City Market we are proud of being your neighborhood sports bar in Downtown Raleigh. We are dedicated to developing and maintaining strong relationships with our local community. We are Downtown Raleigh’s number one neighborhood sports bar. We believe that every person that walks through the door is a potential regular and deserves to be treated as such. I personally love coming to work and knowing that I will spend my day with good friends watching good sports. When our staff and myself are off of work, we generally find ourselves being regulars at our own establishment. Even though we are not related, it feels like a family run business. By performing excellent service, providing a great beer selection, and putting creative spins on american food, Woody’s has become a staple in Wake County since 1993. Woody’s has also been known for many years for having the best wings in the triangle area. We encourage you to come and test them for yourself. Woody’s @ City Market and Woody’s Sports Tavern and Grill in Cary have not only survived in an extremely competitive bar and restaurant industry, we have thrived!!! Woody’s is the best place to watch all sporting events and live music on the weekends. With two bars in separate seating areas, it is easy for us to cater to all of our guests needs. If you are the kind of person that loves a great neighborhood bar, a place where people know your name, a place that treats it’s guests like family, and a place where you will feel as though you are a part of the business (because you are), then come be a part of Downtown Raleigh’s number one neighborhood sports bar family.
Herman here, just stopping by to remind everyone of the week’s upcoming events and to say how much fun I had at Artsplosure! My goodness it was so much fun to see everyone outside, despite the nasty weather we had on Saturday and perusing the vendors of some of Raleigh’s finest artists. It was also a lot of fun to hear the strumming of Acoustic Manner and the Windsor Oaks Band last weekend. I love grooving to each bands individual style. With that said I especially had a ball listening to Erin Nenni and Scott Miller this past Friday night and Garland Mason last evening. Shew, do all the musicians we have know how to rock the house and put everyone in a great mood. But with that said just thought I’d remind everyone of the exciting events we have going on this week. As always we’ll have Big Slow Tom’s trivia on Tuesday evening at 6:30pm and Thursday at 7pm. Trashy trivia is at 10pm on Tuesday night and Karaoke begins around 10pm on Thursday. On Wednesday we will be tapping Dogfish Head Positive Contact for $3.5 at 7pm. For our live entertainment we will be hosting Thom Crompton and Nick Driver. But I hope everyone survives their Memorial Day weekend and comes back with tons of fun stories for me to hear. If you’re in town you should definitely stop by and get a little crazy with me, I always love seeing and hanging out with y’all. So until next time your secrets are safe with me….
Just stopping by the thank everyone who voted for us in the Best of in the Triangle Downtowner. Thanks to your support we won first place for our wings, is there any surprise there? And second place for karaoke and trivia! I always say those are my favorite nights of the week, Tuesday and Thursday. So if you haven’t come out in a while you definitely should. Also, just so you know tomorrow evening we will be tapping Ommegang Witte for $3.5 a pint, it’s a delicious wit beer that is the perfect drink for the middle of the week. Don’t forget this weekend is Artsplosure, one of my favorite festivals of the year so stop by after you’ve walked around and looked at the amazing local artists we have showcased here in downtown Raleigh. Friday evening before the festivities of the weekend kick into full swing we will have Acoustic Manner playing beginning at 10 pm and on Saturday the Windsor Oaks Band will have the crowd moving to sweet rhythms. There’s always a game to be watched so stop by anytime, I would love to hear about your adventures and upcoming summer plans. I can’t wait until it completely warms up so I can watch everyone on the patio, especially the ladies with their short skirts. Well until next time your secrets are safe with me…
